Bhāskarācārya (Bhaskara II) has been called the greatest mathematician of medieval India. "Lilavati" is the first volume of his main work 'Siddhānta Śiromani' wrote in 1150 when he was 36 years old.
Bhāskarācārya's (Bhaskara II) studied his daughter Lilavati's horoscope and predicted that she would remain both childless and unmarried. To avoid this fate, he ascertained an auspicious moment for his daughter's wedding and to alert his daughter at the correct time, he placed a cup with a small hole at the bottom of a vessel filled with water, arranged so that the cup would sink at the beginning of the propitious hour. He put the device in a room with a warning to Lilavati to not go near it.
In her curiosity though, she went to look at the device and a pearl from her bridal dress accidentally dropped into it, thus upsetting it. The auspicious moment for the wedding thus passed unnoticed leaving a devastated Bhaskara II. It is then that he promised his daughter to write a book in her name, one that would remain till the end of time as a good name is akin to a second life.

Horoscopes, astrology and other practices falsely supposed to ‘unveil’ the future, conceal a desire for power over time, History and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
That inner power or divine consciousness will give us the strength to overcome all the problems in life. It is really not easy to understand with intellectual analysis, but once understood, unbelievable and unstoppable positive changes will happen for sure. For that, we need to first realise that in any given situation, we are not alone.
Most of the problems in life become a problem when you think that you need to handle it alone. But you need to realise that you are not alone. You are always connected to the divine power which is present everywhere, every time and in every one of us. You have all the power to change your destiny because the God in you is the only God who has created every creation in this universe and has control over the every situation in your life.
